The Pacific Basin Nuclear Conference (PBNC) has become one of the most important international events in the nuclear industry, and not only for the countries sharing the Pacific Rim. PBNC covers all areas in the nuclear power industry, plus research and development activities directed to the application of nuclear energy. The last PBNC, 2008, took place in the beautiful Aomori City, Japan, where about 600 attendees shared their experiences and knowledge in their respective areas of expertise. The 17th PBNC will take place in one of the most renowned paradise areas in the world: Cancun, Mexico, from October 24 to 30, 2010.

Pacific Basin Nuclear Conferences (PBNCs) are organized under the auspices of the Pacific Nuclear Council (PNC), a non-governmental organization that was established in 1988 to advance the nuclear science and technology in the Pacific Basin.
